18 weeks pregnant and baby was moving too much, is this normal?

I just had my 18 week ultrasound and the tech told me that the baby was wild, kept moving around and she had to keep chasing it to get a good picture. I asked what she thought the gender was and I was told that the baby was breach and it seemed to be a girl but I should go back in two weeks to confirm. Has anyone experienced this? Is that much movement common?
