Requirements to become an Ultrasound technician?

I am looking to pursue a career as an Ultra sound technician/sonographer. I am curious as to how i should go about this. I see that most programs for ultrasound techs are certificate programs, but there are a few bachelor or associate programs. From my understanding the important thing is that you are accredited no matter which program you go into. Is it smarter to go straight into one of these programs or would it be
