8 weeks pregnant. Ultrasound shows a 6 weeks baby?

As per my mestrual period I'm 8 weeks but today the ultrasound showed only that the baby is
6 weeks old. But doctor seems to be concerned . I'm worried because I had a miscarriage I don't
want that to happen again. Is it common? Should I be worried? Doctor sheduled another ultrasound
for next week. Help!!!!
