How early can a baby be seen in a transvaginal ultrasound?

I went to the doctor yesterday after 2 positive pregnancy tests. Yesterday was Sept 21. I am SURE conception day was on Sept 3rd. Doctor told me is too early to see anything even with a transvaginal ultrasound. (They did one and nothing yet). I am kind of worry at this point. I do feel sore (badly) breasts and some mild cramping (very sleepy too)... but I have a history of ectopic pregnancy and it is really
